This blog’s objective is to provide a better understanding of the Renaissance Venetians by looking at all aspects of their world in manageable chunks of information, which means, tightly focused, short posts. Even a post on, say, Gaspara Stampa will examine only one aspect of her life or art. Also, because much, if not all, of the information presented will rely published scholarship, I will supple proper attribution. Any personal opinions I present will be labeled as such, and I have a few.
